Recently advanced testing metrics (called metrological method) for quantifying the thermal stability characteristics of jet fuels was declared the referee technique by jet fuel specification bodies.

Description

This new approach highlighted the weaknesses of the existing thermal jet fuel oxidation test rigs. By precisely mapping the thermal oxidation deposit on the surface of the aluminum tube, it became possible to identify issues with existing test rigs that were undetectable with the visual (VTR) rating.

Based on these finding, AD Systems developed a new jet fuel thermal oxidation test rig (TO10) that ensures perfect fuel preparation, perfect fuel flow control, a perfect heater tube temperature profile and perfect thermal deposit quantification with the Deposit Rater – DR10.

Las métricas de prueba avanzadas (llamadas método metrológico) para cuantificar las características de estabilidad térmica de los combustibles para aviones fueron declaradas la técnica de referencia por los organismos de especificación de combustible para aviones.

Este nuevo enfoque destacó las debilidades de los equipos de prueba existentes para oxidación de combustible de aeronaves . Al mapear con precisión el depósito de oxidación térmica en la superficie del tubo de aluminio, fue posible identificar problemas con los equipos de prueba existentes que no eran detectables con la clasificación visual (VTR).

En base a estos hallazgos, AD Systems desarrolló un nuevo equipo de prueba de oxidación térmica de combustible para turbinas (TO10) que garantiza una preparación perfecta del combustible, un control perfecto del flujo de combustible, un perfil perfecto de temperatura del tubo del calentador y una cuantificación perfecta del depósito térmico con el “Deposit Rater” – DR10.
