Refractive Index Standards

Paragon Scientific produces a range of sucrose standards for use in the calibration and verification of all types of refractometer. Sucrose standards are manufactured using traceable high purity materials to four decimal places following ICUMSA methods. These Sucrose Standards available worldwide which carry a full ISO 17025 / ISO 17034 certificate of calibration with each bottle.

  • Sucrose Brix/RI Standards, typically used within the food and beverage and pharmaceutical industries.
  • Refractive Index Certified Reference Materials at 20 °C, 25 °C and 30 °C. All materials are supplied with a unique batch number, expiry date, and certified data for refractive index at 20 °C, 25 °C and 30 °C. The shelf life of each material is 12 months, and full traceability and uncertainties are stated on the certificate provided.
  • Paragon Scientific manufacture a range of Multi-Parameter Certified Reference Materials (CRMs) for refractive index and density measurements at 15 °C, 20 °C and 25 °C, certified in strict accordance to ISO 17025 & ISO 17034 under UKAS. Each CRM provides low levels of uncertainty, ensuring maximum accuracy of data at hand. These materials are sold in 30 mL volume sealed glass vials, allowing for multiple analyses, and are supplied with Safety Data Sheet (SDS) documentation.
